Sauk Valley Canoe & Kayak Race in Dixon, IL

The annual Sauk Valley Canoe and Kayak Race will be held on Sunday August 17th on the Rock River in Dixon, IL

The race starts at 9 AM (an hour earlier than most races). It will be cooler and hopefully beat the wakes from power boats.

All interested individuals are invited to attend.

The usual course, downstream - around an island and return. Pro-boats are allowed in the Competition cruiser class. Competition Cruisers can raced in the standard class (with appropriate weight). Also there will be a sea kayak class.

Directions from I-88 Dixon Exit

• Go north through Dixon over the river bridge
• Turn Left on Rt. 2(McDonalds is on the west(left) side)
• Turn left at the Tennis Courts or the National Guaard Armory.
  (If you go up the hill out of town you have gone too far.)
• Follow road back into the park. The road will curve to the right and follow the river downstream
