Trip description
This is a pleasant section, with big, gentle bends and a low gradient. Few houses give the river an isolated feel. Frequent sandbars make for a relaxing float trip on an historic stretch of river taken by young Abe Lincoln who was looking for a job, build a flat boat and floated it and its cargo of hogs and grain down to the Mississippi. For more information on this and the other stretches of the river
